  Who could imagine in 1876 at the Caulina cattle track (the first fair with electrical lighting) that today, 126 years later, we were going to have a lighting with thousands of light bulbs illuminating the spring nights of our Horse Fair? Neither people from Jerez nor foreigners would have thought about it.

Night stars on the sky will mix with the light bulbs and it will look as if we were looking up to a sky illuminated with thousands of colours.

      It is like a huge vault covering the fair parades. A glass vault that lets us see the sky, the stars and the moon. A glass vault that lets the drops come in when it is raining.

It is worth to stare at the fair lighting from anywhere. Next 4th of May at nightfall, the major will perform the opening annual ritual of switching on all the light bulbs at the fair. That will be the official event which will tell all of us that the fair has officially started. "And so God created the light"
